Rusal To Collaborate With Moscow School Of Management On Business Ethics And Education Project

Russian Federation aluminium titan UC Rusal announced yesterday a partnership with the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO to launch a large-scale business education and business ethics education project.

The project will draw upon the well of practical knowledge cultivated by both institutions, explained Rusal in a press release. Headed by noted business professor and founder of business education initiatives Tom Rawlins, the center will employ the world’s best business practices to establish a curriculum for education in management and business ethics. In addition, the center will foster research into the development of business practices supportive of sustainable development.

“In the Russian business environment, the level of applying the knowledge in Business Ethics, Strategic Leadership, Sustainable Development and Human Capital Development, unfortunately, does not fully comply with today’s demands from the business world,” lamented Rusal’s CEO Evgenii Nikitin. “This collaboration brings together RUSAL’s international experience and SKOLKOVO’s powerful educational and research base, bridging the current gap in the field of business ethics while taking into the consideration the world’s best practices and current international standards.”

Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO dean Marat Atnashev expressed his high hopes for the program.

“In SKOLKOVO Business School, we believe that the partnership based on shared values is the crucial cornerstone for a successful project. I am sure that this strategic partnership with RUSAL will contribute to the development and growth of the new sectors in the field of business-education and management and will help to build the centre of excellence in business ethics in the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. We are very interested in RUSAL’s experience as one of the largest Russian companies who is operating globally and continuing to implement new management practices.”

At present the two institutions are collaborating on a series of joint activities intended to attract business experts from around the globe to offer their experience and expertise for integration into this program and the Russian business education structure overall.
