Jack Hockema To Step Down As Kaiser Aluminum CEO

California semi-fabricated aluminium producer Kaiser Aluminum Corporation announced on Monday the coming transition in its executive leadership, as CEO Jack A. Hockema will transition out of the role at the end of next month.

The firm said Harvey will be succeeded by Keith A. Harvey, stepping up from his role as President and Chief Operating Officer in Harvey’s stead. Harvey will remain on the company’s Board of Directors upon stepping down, acting as its Executive Chairman.

Harvey had high praise for his successor, noting the accomplishments he’s achieved in his time as a leader in the firm.

“Keith has had an integral role in driving our strategy and growth over the years and, as President and Chief Operating Officer, he has played an important leadership role at Kaiser Aluminum, building a strong operational and commercial team and creating a multi-disciplined leadership development program to ensure consistency of our culture and strategic direction. Keith is well respected within the organization, and I am confident in his ability to lead the Company,”

“Kaiser Aluminum has become a highly differentiated, well-respected leader in our industry under Jack’s leadership during the past 20 years and we believe is well positioned for the future,” opined Kaiser Aluminum’s Lead Independent Director Alfred E. Osborne, Jr. “The Board of Directors unanimously elected Keith to be the next Chief Executive Officer, and we look forward to continuing to deliver value to our customers, shareholders and communities under his leadership for years to come.”

Harvey joined Kaiser Aluminum in 1981. He was named a Senior Vice President in 2012, then promoted to Executive Vice President two years later. Harvey has held his current position for the past five years.
