Aluminium Bahrain Hosts Alignment And Synergy Workshop For Company Executives

Earlier this month Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) hosted a one-day Alignment and Synergy Workshop for the firm’s executive leadership in order to prepare for the challenges ahead in the coming year.

Held at the Wyndham Grand Manama Hotel, Alba’s leadership discussed the dynamic market situation facing the aluminium industry, ways in which the company may meet production and safety targets, and how best to prepare for its objectives in 2023.

CEO Al Baqali is quoted in a related press release as expressing that the only way his firm can meet its objectives is via strong teamwork.

“As the markets always change, we must be where the market is going and learn how to trade the market sentiment for Alba’s benefits. We can’t change the market sentiment; however, we can change the way we think to be able to blend in and this can only be done through building a feeling of oneness, of dependence on one another as well as our synergy as a management team.”

In addition, noted sports psychologist Nabeel Taha Al Shehab, Ph.D, spoke on the behavioral, cognitive, and motivational factors that lead Olympic athletes to success.

Alba is one of the largest industrial companies in the Middle East and is the world’s biggest aluminium smelter outside the People’s Republic of China. Modernization bumped the output up to 450,000 metric tons in 1992. In the spring of 2005, Alba opened Line 5, raising output by 860,000 metric tons per year. In 2021 Alba’s smelter produced 1,561,222 metric tons of primary aluminium.
