Aluminium Bahrain wrapped up two weeks of town hall meetings in Manama Sunday. The meetings involved almost ninety percent of the company’s workforce in discussions between the firm’s management and its workforce.
Beginning on January 15th, the meetings were held in nine separate sessions and included participation from some of Bahrain’s private and public organizations.
“Town Hall Meeting was launched with the purpose of establishing a direct line of communication between employees and the Management as well as to convey Alba’s performance and expectations in a simple and transparent manner,” explained Alba’s CEO Tim Murray.
“We believe that these sessions help bridge the gap between different layers of the Company and build synergy amongst various teams. Alba had a great year in terms of Safety and Operational achievements in 2016. We must now prepare for 2017 as what makes us successful at one level is not what makes us successful at the next. By building on our 2017 Expectations, namely: Safety Tomorrowland; Line 6 Transformation; Titan DNA and Do Your Job A+, we aim to exceed our targets and achieve beyond excellence in everything we do.”
Murray introduced the town hall concept in 2014 as a means for Alba’s upper management to speak directly to the company’s workforce, outline achievements of the past year, and communicate goals for the year to come.
