WRITE FOR US

We are looking for writers, analysts, industry professional and specialised journalists with expertise and knowledge of the aluminium market to come contribute to Aluminium Insider on a one-off or regular basis. We welcome contributions in the form of features (600-800 words) as well as longer analysis pieces (1,000-1,500 words).

Content: We are looking for original articles that cover all aspects of the aluminium industry, with a particular focus on the initial and mid-process stages of the supply chain, although we also aim to keep our content accessible to the average consumer and anyone with a passing interest. We prefer fundamental analysis style pieces but we will also look at technically focused work. If your submission is well researched but falls outside the scope listed above, we will happily consider it if we feel our audience will benefit from the outside analysis.

Formatting:

  • Please only single space between sentences and single line break between paragraphs and do not indent between paragraphs.
  • All dates and times must be spelled out ex: January 15, 2016.
  • Please include references in your document by embedding hyperlinks within the text. Footnotes are occasionally accepted in special cases.
  • Please use subheadlines to break up longer analysis pieces.

Reprint Submissions: Although we do encourage original content, we are open to republishing work that has appeared elsewhere, as long as you currently hold the rights to reprint your work and have permission from the outlet where it has first appeared.

Media: Please include photographs, videos, graphs etc with your submission if you feel it adds to the content and helps to explain your analysis.

Copyright: As the author of the article, you retain copyright. You assign to us First Serial Rights, meaning that your contributions must be your own original work and not published elsewhere. However once the contribution appears on Aluminium Insider, you are free to permit your work to appear elsewhere subject only to the condition that it carries the line: First Published on www.aluminiuminsider.com.
